Hdd and ssd are types of hard drive.that all of us know  about it.hdd had first come into existence,so ssd an improvement over hdd.generally HP<DELL<LENEVO laptop has hdd in its desktop or laptop.apple computers has generally ssd in its laptop.there primary reason to include ssd in laptop is following.

Ssd has less power use.

Ssd is faster.

Ssd has no moving parts : no vibration.

Ssd size is smaller to hdd.

But ssd is expensive so this is not generally available in HP,DELL,LENOVO laptops.

So on the basis of above discussion we can  have following differences

DATA TRANSFER RATE 

Ssd is a solid state drive .this is always faster than hdd.general hdd has 45mbps write and 75mbps read speed.ssd has 60mbps write and 90mbps read speed.these are  practically obserbed speed.

POWER USE:WHO USE MORE POWER

Obviously hdd use more power with respect to ssd.

SIZE:WHO IS BIGGER

As ssd has no moving parts ssd is smaller than hdd.

COST:WHO IS EXPENSIVE

You can buy hdd at lower cost than ssd.

WHO IS SAFE 

Ssd is in safer side if  we talk data security.
